This script is designed to take images and convert them into Pin Art. The concept taken from Nine Inch Nail’s video for Only.

    Hi there

I am an Architecture student and was trying to play around with your .ghx file. I am not familiar with Grasshopper. Nothing happens when I open the file in GH. Can you help me with this please? Is there a step that i am missing? I really appreciate it.

    Cheers

When you open it in Grasshopper there should be a (parameter) box that has been nicknamed ‘image’, it is orange and is located top left. It should be the only orange box towards the top left.

The input for this parameter is a surface generated from an image. To do this you need to run ‘HeightField’ in Rhinoceros and follow the instructions, then once that is finished in Grasshopper, right click ‘Image’ and select ‘Set Surface’ (may be ’set one surface’, sorry, cannot access Grasshopper at the moment). It will take you back to Rhino where you have to click the ‘heightfield’ image and hit ‘Enter’.

You then need to scroll to the bottom left in Grasshopper where a slider is, set this to 1 to draw the pins. I think I labelled it ‘Confirm’. You will have to be patient as this will take quite some time,
